Join YMCA and cycle 210 miles from Redhill, Surrey through Brittany and Normandy to Le Mans – with a choice of 2 or 3 day ride options.
The three-day team will leave early Thursday morning to cycle to Portsmouth and catch the overnight ferry to Saint-Malo, sleeping in a comfortable shared cabin.
On Friday morning, we leave the medieval walled city of Saint-Malo and cycle through the nature park of Normandy-Maine to stay at an authentic hunting lodge near Bagnoles-de-l’Orne.
On Saturday, we cycle through the countryside finishing at Le Mans, the city that hosts the world’s oldest and most prestigious endurance car race. Here you can visit the race circuit, the museum, and the hall of fame to learn more about this legendary event. After a celebratory night, we’ll catch the train to Paris and onto the Eurostar to arrive at the YMCA late Sunday afternoon.
Two-day riders will leave Redhill on Friday morning to catch the Friday evening ferry and will cycle the full distance of 145 miles from Saint-Malo to Le Mans in one day!
This is a fully supported ride, with two vehicles offering tea, coffee, drinks and lunch along the route, as well as mechanical support, spare bike and encouragement. All bikes will be safely transported back to Redhill by our support crew after the challenge. This event is open to ages 18+.
